Obama's Victory
Guess what? What's in headlines, anyway? Barack Obama captures the PRESIDENCY. In short. he defeated John McCain.
Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United States and he is the first ever African-American President of the United States. I guess, he rejoices right now (obviously) with his family, wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha.
According to Obama, "Change has come to America".
I don't know why we are updated with this thing. We're Filipinos and I guess we only mind our own businesses here in our own country. We've got lots of jobs to work and lots of problems to solve but we still keep on watching TV for further updates with the Presidency Election of the United States.
At first, I don't know who is Barack Obama. When I first saw him on TV speaking to the crowd during his Presidential Campaign, I first thought of Mario (the one who sang "How Do I Breathe?") because they look a like and Barack Obama doesn't look like he was 47 years of age. I don't know something about him, the only thing I know that he's a senator. Until know, I don't know something about him and I'm doing researches about it.
Now I know why Filipinos care much about the United States. It's because we are avid fans of international artists, imported goods and services, family members are working in the US or we just really care about them. These things doesn't have any connection but I guess, this is really true. But for me, I don't really update myself with the latest happenings in the United States. But now, I wonder if I care too. The headlines speak about it. So, I might join the thing.
Who cares anyway? Maybe, it's you. I care because I also want to live in the United States. I want to visit New York someday and live somewhere in California (maybe in Los Angeles). Pft. I'm making my way there though. Nursing's not the passport anyway.
America rejoices with their new president, ready in living his dream for his country in the White House.
