The Dream Match

Okay. Anyway, what's in the headlines today? Well, it's The Dream Match yesterday.

Yesterday was The Dream Match- a boxing match between People's Champ Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao of the Philippines and The Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya of Mexico. The match was in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Filipinos all over the world rejoice as Oscar De La Hoya surrendered in the eight round of the match and that led Manny Pacquiao claiming the crown. It was another big achievement for the Philippines, as well as, the Filipinos.

We were amazed and very proud that many Hollywood Stars watched the match too. Some of them were Jennifer Lopez and Usher. Eventhough they are not Filipinos nor Mexicans, they were still there to support.

Are you curious enough? Are Filipinos brave enough to face the challenges in life? The answer is YES. For us, Filipinos, "giving up" is not part of our vocabulary. We don't easily give up eventhough the challenge is hard. The action that we do, in the times that we are challenged, is that we just look up above and askl God for more guidance and strength. We believe that He is always there for us, no matter what happens. And when we don't fail the challenge, we easily offer to Him a prayer or a thanksgiving mass. This shows that we are thankful for is many blessings.

Right now, I'm so proud to say that I am truly a Filipino. We should be proud for another winning record that Manny Pacquiao will bring home to us this coming Wednesday. No boxer will never ever defeat him. All hail!
