Rockin' Playfest
Oh yeah. Crap. Unexpectedly..
Finally, playfest is done. After all, all our hardworks, tensions, crammings and a lot more were really paid off. Yes, you read it right. PAID OFF.
For the Filipino play, the theme was "Panitikang Pilipino: Salamin ng Katotohanan". We presented the first part of El Filibusterismo (yes, because we're seniors and we're assigned to presented this novel of Dr. Jose P. Rizal). YES, WE WON!
For the English play, the theme was "Simply...Act!". We presented "Love From A Box". It's our own version of the award-winning movie "Anak", which starred Vilma Santos and Claudine Barretto. The scriptwriters edited it and changed some parts. We just got the idea from the movie and we made it very local. YES, WE WON!
Well, what's the thing that made us win? It's just the teamwork and hardwork. Not just that, it's the love that binds us together and the unity that is within us, me and the rest of my classmates, as well as, our dear class adviser. We also got some support from our batchmates, schoolmates, teachers and parents. And these two plays were not made possible without our Creator, Lord Jesus Christ. These plays were for your Greater Glory.
If you ask me what will I miss next year (because I'll be graduating in March and leave Assumption-Iloilo already), my answer would be, I'll really miss the playfest and the non-stop cramming of the people behind each presentation. I will surely miss the things that I learned in theater and I will also miss the tension that draws closer when the Awarding Ceremony is fast approaching. Yes, the playfest completed my Assumption education.
MMA, this where I truly belong. You're my home now. I'm very proud to be one of the students in this section. I love you, dear classmates.
CONGRATULATIONS (not just to the winners, but to everyone). Job well done :)
